We
need railfans
We are looking for dedicated railfans to photograph all the
railroads in the USA and Canada both current and ghost. We
need current photos not older photos. We have easy but
structured requirements.
1) Use a moderately good camera,
film or digital
2) Pick a railroad and don't cross a
state line. 3)
Start at or near a town and move in one direction, taking
representative photos of that railroad, both landscape,
equipment, and buildings. Take enough to give a visual
representation of the railroad. For ghost, take the
roadbed and landscape.
4) Take notes about
each photo location, upgrade/downgrade, features
5) Use GPS if you have it. Use
format
N40+16.882 W108+58.899
6) Plan on about 100
photos from a start town to end town.
7) Submission - The photos must be
changed to .jpg and under 100kb. Use the "create your page" on
http://railsproject.com. Look at the
requirements. Images name should not have spaces.
